Small software that respects your time, your device, and your data.
Nesake exists because most of the software people use every day is heavier, noisier, and more invasive than the job it does. A calculator asks you to sign in. A PDF tool uploads your contract to a server you have never heard of. A casual game demands notification permissions before the first level. We started Nesake to build the opposite kind of software: small, focused tools that do one job properly, run wherever you already are, and ask for as little as possible in return.
Every product we ship starts from the same question — what is the smallest, fastest, most private way to solve this problem for a real person? That usually means the browser. It means the work happens on your device where we can, so your files never leave it. It means no account walls in front of a GST calculation or a QR code. And it means a page that loads in under a second on a mid-range Android phone on a patchy connection, because that is what most of our users actually have.
What makes our apps different
Four decisions we make on every product.
Local-first processing
Our document, image, and PDF tools run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas. Files are read into memory, processed on your own hardware, and discarded when you close the tab. There is no upload step, so there is no server copy to leak, subpoena, or forget to delete.
No account walls
You do not need to register to use a Nesake utility or play a Nesake game. Accounts exist only where they genuinely add value — syncing a home inventory across devices, for example — and never as a gate in front of a one-off calculation.
Written for humans, not crawlers
Each tool page carries a real explanation of the underlying concept: the reducing-balance EMI formula, how QR error correction works, why JPEG quality curves are non-linear. If you leave knowing how the thing works, the page did its job.
Maintained, not abandoned
We ship in small increments and keep old tools working. When a tool is deprecated we say so on the page rather than quietly deleting the URL, so bookmarks and links stay honest.

Ship small, ship often
We prefer a narrow tool that works today over a platform that might work next quarter. Releases are incremental and reversible.
The browser is the platform
Web first, PWA second, native only when a capability genuinely requires it. One codebase means fixes reach everyone at once.
Performance is a feature
Static-first rendering, code splitting, lazy-loaded media, and no third-party script we cannot justify. Slow pages are bugs.
Explain the mechanism
Wherever a tool computes something, the page shows the formula or the method. Trust comes from being checkable, not from being confident.
Security & privacy
Privacy is an architecture decision, not a policy page.
The strongest privacy guarantee is not collecting the data in the first place. Where a job can be done on your device, we do it on your device.
- Files you open in our document, image, and PDF tools are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to Nesake servers.
- Accounts, where they exist, use managed authentication with hashed credentials and row-level database policies so one user can never read another user's records.
- The whole site is served over HTTPS with modern TLS; mixed content and inline third-party scripts are kept to a minimum.
- We collect analytics in aggregate, not to build profiles. Advertising is served by Google AdSense and is governed by our cookie policy and consent banner.
- Dependencies are scanned and updated on a regular cadence, and security reports sent to support@nesake.com are triaged within two business days.

Nesake is owned and operated by Kedar Singh as an individual business. Ownership details, business type, and a working support address are published on our Legal page — not hidden behind a form.
Honest product status
Tools are labelled Live or Planned. We do not list vapourware as a feature or pad the catalogue with empty cards.
Plain-language policies
Privacy, terms, and cookie policies are written to be read, list what we actually collect, and are dated so you can see when they last changed.
Real support, from a person
Messages sent through the contact form reach a human. We answer within two business days and tell you when something will not be fixed.
Customer-first support
If a tool gets in your way, tell us and we will fix it.
We read every message. Bug reports are reproduced before they are closed, feature requests are logged against the roadmap, and when we decide not to build something we say so instead of leaving you waiting. Documentation for each product lives in the docs section, and support runs Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 IST, with a two-business-day response target.

Frequently asked questions
Is Nesake free to use?+
Every tool in the Utility Hub, all browser games, and the free tier of our apps cost nothing and require no account. Free tools are supported by unobtrusive advertising. Paid features, where they exist, are clearly marked and optional.
Do my files get uploaded when I use your PDF and image tools?+
No. Our compressor, background remover, image enhancer, PDF suite, and Marginal editor all process files locally in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas. The file never leaves your device, which is why these tools also work with the network disconnected once the page has loaded.
Do I need to create an account?+
Not for utilities or games. An account is only required where syncing genuinely matters — for example, keeping a Gharlog home inventory available across your phone and laptop.
Can I install Nesake apps on my phone?+
Yes. Gharlog, Marginal, and our games are progressive web apps. Open them in Chrome or Safari and choose Add to Home Screen or Install; they then launch full screen and work offline.
Who builds and maintains Nesake?+
Nesake is an independent, bootstrapped studio owned and operated by Kedar Singh, based in India and shipping to a global audience. There is no investor timetable behind our roadmap.
How do you make money if the tools are free?+
Advertising on free pages, plus paid tiers on a small number of apps. We do not sell personal data, and we do not gate basic functionality behind a subscription.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?+
Use the contact page. Include the tool name, your browser and device, and what you expected to happen. Bug reports are triaged within two business days; feature requests are logged and reviewed against the public roadmap.
Are the games suitable for children?+
Our casual games are rated suitable for ages 7 and up. They contain no violence, no chat, and no in-app purchases. They do display advertising, which is why we recommend adult supervision for younger players.
