Nesake Apps are a growing family of free online tools and browser based apps that do one useful job each and do it without ceremony. There is no installer, no licence key and no dashboard to learn. You open a page, drop in a file or type a value, and the work happens in the tab you are already looking at. The collection spans image tools, PDF tools, productivity tools, developer utilities, property apps and games, and it grows every few weeks as we ship the next idea from the workbench.
The through-line across all of them is restraint. A tool that compresses an image should compress the image — not ask for an email address, not queue your upload behind a paywall, and not bury the download button under three interstitials. Every Nesake application is designed so that the fastest path from problem to result is the default path.
Desktop software asks for commitment: disk space, update cycles, admin rights you may not have on a work laptop, and a different build for every operating system. A browser based app skips all of that. The same URL works on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, and it is always the current version because there is no version to be out of date. For anyone working across a home machine, an office desktop and a phone, that consistency is the whole point of no download tools.
Modern browsers are also genuinely capable. Canvas, WebAssembly, the File System Access API and Web Workers mean a web page can resize a 40-megapixel photo, parse a PDF, or diff two large files as quickly as a native app would — often faster, because it skips the upload entirely.
Most productivity is lost in the small gaps: waiting for an installer, hunting for a licence, converting a file into the format someone else needs. Free utilities that live at a stable URL close those gaps. Most free online tools work by uploading your file to a server, processing it there and handing back a download link. That is fine for a holiday snapshot and genuinely risky for a signed contract, a payslip, a passport scan or unreleased client photography. Nesake's privacy first apps invert the model: the processing code is delivered to your browser and your file stays where it already is.
In practice that means no retention policy to trust, no storage bucket to be breached and no quiet training on your documents. Where a feature genuinely needs a server — an optional Gharlog sync, or a message you send us — we say so on the page and keep the scope narrow.
Local processing is not only safer, it is usually quicker. Uploading a 12 MB image on an average connection takes longer than compressing it does; removing the round trip removes the bulk of the wait. It also works when the network does not — once a tool page is cached, several of them keep working on a train or a patchy hotel connection. And because your device is doing the work, there is no shared queue to wait in at busy times and no per-file limit imposed by someone else's server bill.

Yes. Every tool listed on this page is free to use with no usage caps, watermarks or expiring trial. Some pages carry advertising, which is what keeps the tools free to run.
No. None of the utilities require registration. Gharlog offers an optional account so your property inventory can sync across devices, but the browser tools work anonymously.
For the image, PDF, document and text tools, no. Your file is read by the page and processed locally using browser APIs, so it never travels to a server. Tools that behave differently say so clearly on their own page.
Yes. The apps are responsive and touch-friendly, and several — including Gharlog and Marginal — can be installed to your home screen as a PWA for an app-like experience.

Files processed in the browser are held only in memory for the length of your session and are discarded when you close the tab. We store data only where a feature requires it, such as a Gharlog account or a message you send through the contact form.
