Is Marginal free?
Yes. Marginal is free to use for local editing in the browser. A free account lets you save documents across devices, and paid features may be added later.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. By default, everything runs locally in your browser. If you sign in with Google, only your saved documents are synced to your account.
What file types work?
Marginal supports PDF, modern .docx Word files, plain text, and .xlsx spreadsheets. Legacy .doc files are not supported yet.
Can I use it without signing in?
Yes. Continue as a guest to edit files locally. Sign in when you want your documents saved across devices.
