This Privacy Policy explains how Nesake ("Nesake", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information across all Nesake applications and services, including GharLog – Home Asset Manager, Marginal, Utility Hub, Brain Games, and any future Nesake applications and services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Introduction

Nesake builds practical software including mobile apps, progressive web apps, utilities, games, and streaming tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and responsibly, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, the Google Play Developer Program Policy, and general privacy best practices.

By using our Services you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information needed to provide and improve the Services. Depending on the app and features you use, this may include:

  • Account information: email address, hashed password, and authentication identifiers.
  • Profile information: optional display name, avatar, language and region preferences.
  • User-generated content: notes, entries, records, tags, and settings you create in the Services.
  • Uploaded documents: invoices, warranties, receipts, manuals, and other files you choose to upload.
  • Photos: images you upload from your device library.
  • Camera usage: photos you capture in-app when you use camera features (photos are not accessed unless you take one).
  • Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and general locale.
  • Analytics: aggregated, pseudonymous usage events used to understand feature adoption and improve the Services.
  • Crash reports: diagnostic logs and stack traces to help us fix bugs and improve reliability.

3. Permissions We Request

Our apps only request permissions required for a specific feature you use. You can revoke any permission at any time from your device settings.

  • Camera: to capture photos of assets, documents, or receipts.
  • Storage / Photos: to upload and attach images and documents you select.
  • Notifications: to send reminders and important updates when you enable them.
  • Internet: to sync data, authenticate, and use cloud features.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Authenticate you and secure your account.
  • Sync your data across your devices.
  • Send reminders and product notifications you enable.

Your account and content are stored on managed cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS, and at rest using industry-standard encryption provided by our cloud providers. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by strong authentication and audit logging.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Services. Each provider processes only the data required for its specific function.

  • Supabase – authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Google Sign-In – optional federated login.
  • Google Play Services – app distribution, integrity, and platform APIs on Android.
  • Razorpay – payment processing when in-app payments are available.
  • Firebase – push notifications and analytics when enabled.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:

  • With the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the Services.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Nesake, our users, or others.
  • With your explicit consent.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, associated personal data is deleted within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Nesake is operated from India, and our cloud providers may process data in multiple regions. By using the Services you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where required.

12. Security Measures

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including TLS encryption, encryption at rest, role-based access control, secure authentication, activity logging, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

13. Cookies and Local Storage

Our web applications use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Nesake uses Google AdSense to display advertisements on some pages. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. 14. GharLog – Home Asset Manager

GharLog is a Nesake application that helps you organize your household assets. When you use GharLog you may:

  • Create an account.
  • Store information about your home assets.
  • Upload invoices and warranty documents.
  • Upload receipts and product manuals.
  • Capture photos using your device camera.
  • Receive notifications when enabled (e.g. warranty reminders).
  • Securely synchronize your data using cloud services.

You retain full ownership of the content you upload. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by using the in-app deletion option (where available) or by emailing support@nesake.com.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
